Getting started with Bill Pay

Mailing checks or paying bills

We offer free bill pay that you can use to pay most bills. You can also use bill pay to mail a check to any person in the United States.

Before you can start sending payments, you’ll need to enroll in Bill Pay in online banking.

Enrolling in Bill Pay

  1. Login to online banking from our homepage.
  2. Once signed into online banking click or tap on the Transfers & Payments tab.
  3. Now click or tap on the Bill Pay - Full Site or Pay with Bill Pay sub menu option.
  4. Here you will be asked to select which account you would like to pay from (Checking accounts only). Select the GreenState checking account you wish to pay from and then click or tab Enroll in Bill Pay.
  5. You will now be directed to Bill Pay to setup your first payment.

Adding a person or company you’d like to pay with Bill Pay

  1. Login to online banking from our homepage.
  2. Once signed into online banking click or tap on the Transfers & Payments tab.
  3. Now click or tap on the Bill Pay - Full Site sub menu option.
  4. Tap or click the add Payee button.
  5. Search for the Payee by name or select one of the frequently used option.
  6. Fill in all required fields and select Submit.
  7. The newly added Person or Business will now be listed in your Payees and Payments tabs to make a payment to. 

Prohibited payees

  • Payments sent outside the United States.
  • We do not suggest paying GreenState loans or Credit Cards by Bill Pay.
