Community RelationsGreenState’s mission is to improve the quality of life in the communities we serve. We give back by volunteering time and donating funds to support local organizations and charities that allow our communities to thrive. GreenState Credit Union is proud to support a variety of events and programs. Our committee meets monthly to evaluate applications and determine funding based on eligibility and compliance within our donation guidelines.
Note: Applications for 2025 funding will be accepted starting December 1st, 2024. Thank you for your patience.
Funding Eligibility
- All funding requests must be from local 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations or schools in the communities we serve and must have a proven record of effective work.
- All requests should be made at least 60 days prior to the event or given deadline.
- Responses can be expected within 14 business days from the time the application was submitted.
- You will be required to submit your organization's W-9 to receive payment.
- If your request is more than $5,000, you must attach your Form 990 tax returns from the previous two years.
- We are unable to provide support to individuals or GoFundMe fundraisers.
- Funding must be used to support communities within our geographic footprint.
While we strive to support as many causes as we can, we’re unable to fulfill every request.
GreenState Foundation
The GreenState Foundation is accepting grant requests for projects or programming that directly support the following three areas of philanthropy:
- Financial Education
- Housing
- Children’s Health
If you believe your request may be eligible for a GreenState Foundation grant, please visit www.greenstatefoundation.org to review the grant application and email Tara Wachendorf at tarawachendorf@greenstate.org to discuss your grant request prior to submission.
Giving Back to the Community
In 2023, GreenState supported over 700 charitable events and programs.
GreenState staff volunteered over 6,700 hours to support local events and charities.
GreenState contributed over $3,800,000 to the local community. As we grow, so does this amount.
